Some quotes:

"Anyhow, I feel like Asian men ultimately need to start excelling in the general HUMAN battleground in areas we have traditionally been weak in here, like athletics and sexual/emotional pursuits. Here's a great example of an Asian guy who has done just that, without sacrificing any of his stereotypical Asian intellectualism, either:"

"The real payoff is not monetary, but increased respect from men and increased lust from women."

ahahaha

guess i was also on http://www.yalestartups.com/news.php ...yeah that's been sorta weird, YEI printed out my article and put it out there so that every time i walk out the door i see my article

lol again

so yeah...i'm still here on this thing because there is somehow still more track related stuff in my life

an e-mail from a guy in yale sports publicity:

"Good to see you last week.

As I mentioned, we're starting to tape video interviews with various Yale Athletics individuals (coaches, athletes, alums). For now we're posting them on YouTube (www.youtube.com/YaleAthletics
) and blip.tv, and embedding them on yalebulldogs.com.

We tape every Tuesday night at Mory's between 7:00 and 8:00. Let me know if you think you'll be free on an upcoming Tuesday to talk about what you're up to (and reflect back on your career at Yale). Dinner is included."

yes, free dinner...time to get a sales pitch ready for my company haha...

"The questions will be generic ones about what paperG does (your chance to give your best sales pitch) and what your experience as a Yale athlete was like. If there's anything in particular you want to talk about (or don't want to talk about) just let me know in advance. You can even suggest questions. "

while i'm at it, i might as well have them ask me "are you single?" ...haha i'll have a singles ad and company sales pitch all in one

lol part 2

hilarious:

http://www.thefighting44s.com/forum/showthread.php?p=45081

"You have to understand that the white media is trying to portray Asian guys as emasculated nerds who can't get laid b/c the white man sees Asian guys as a threat to them. imagine all the white women drooling over an Ivy League educated Asian guy with supermodel looks (such as Yul Kwon). Don't you think the white man will feel threatened by a smart, Ivy League educated, but physically fit and good looking Asian guy. White women will be all over him."

No, not ridiculous at all -- the article could
well attract potential students to Yale and
to computer science.  Besides, we're proud of you.
Best,

regionals

yep...well that's it for track...didn't run that well today, but whatever, i'm done

thanks for the support over the years...sorry it had to end this way =P

although on a brighter note...here is a summary on where God took me in track:

PRs:
60: 6.77
100: 10.39
200: 21.33

Inglemoor High School:
Washington State Champ in the 100, 4x400...2 team state championships
6 high school school records (100, 200, 4x100, 4x200, 4x400, sprint medley)
team MVP, voted Most Inspirational, captain
2nd fastest 60 (6.88) in Washington state history (though the 60 is rarely run =P)
6.88 put me at 18th in the nation

Yale:
Ivy League Champ in the 100, 200, 4x100 (3 times for the relay)
team MVP (Stackhouse award)
H-Y MVP twice (treasurer's award)
2 school records (60, 100)
2 yale facility records (100, 200)
1st athlete ever to go to regionals in 3 events at yale
10.39 put me at 45th in the nation
21.33 put me at 152nd in the nation (not that great of a statistic, but whatever)
Academic All-Ivy (didn't even know I got this: http://yalebulldogs.cstv.com/sports/m-track/spec-rel/060308aaa.html)
ESPN Academic All-District...whatever that means (http://yalebulldogs.cstv.com/sports/m-track/spec-rel/060508aaa.html)
and lastly, i'm asian

edit: I actually didn't know about that ESPN thing until someone posted on my facebook wall telling me congratulations...haha i'm already done with track in my mind
